EADV 2019 Madrid

The 28th annual congress of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) took place from 9 – 13 October 2019 at IFEMA, in Madrid. This edition represented the first congress part of a recently signed multi-year agreement between the EADV and ACS audiovisual solutions for the construction of temporary lecture rooms and the supply of audio visual facilities during their congresses.

The EADV is the leading community to further the knowledge of health professionals in the specific medical field of dermatology and venereology. The 28th EADV annual congress has been a great success, attracting over 12,700 participants from all over the World.

The challenge

In Madrid, ACS was responsible for the building and furnishing of 6 temporary lecture rooms, the overflow areas and the e-poster area. In addition to that they built the business rooms, the patient village and the EADV Resource Center and provided furniture for exhibitors upon request. ACS also supplied the audio and visual facilities in all session rooms throughout the venue..

ERA-EDTA congress Madrid 2017

From Saturday 3 to Monday 6 June, the ERA-EDTA conference took place in Madrid. This association of about 7000 physicians meets once a year with the aim of sharing knowledge to help advance medical science and related subjects.

The challenge

ACS has recently signed a 3-year contract with ERA-EDTA, and therefore it has organized the AV and the construction of the halls this year. We have created 3 temporary rooms in hall 10 which together with 8 permanent rooms and 34 meeting rooms are fully facilitated with our audiovisuals. The temporary plenary space was the biggest and offered space to 2500 people.

We also contributed to the interactive poster sessions by installing the screens and the sound. This special poster desk was found among the many other stands at the conference.

EHA congres Madrid 2017

The EHA (European Hematology Association) annual congress took place in Madrid for the first time during its 22th anniversary. EHA, like the ERA-EDTA congress earlier in June, chose the IFEMA congress center as well to receive more than 10,000 participants.

The challenge

ACS has arranged the AV and IT for both the 5 temporary and all the permanent rooms in the conference center. The largest temporary room served as plenary space and accommodated 3,000 people. People could also watch the spectacular opening show here. The halls outside ACS dressed with voile curtains and atmospheric lighting.

With regard to the IT, ACS, in association with Eventresult, delivered the presentation management system, the room information displays and the overflows, allowing fast switching between presentations flawlessly.

ESMO congres Madrid 2017

ACS and ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) have once again organized together the most important annual meeting for oncologists in Europe. The congress took place from 8 to 12 September in the IFEMA Madrid and attracted nearly 24,000 visitors from over 131 countries. In collaboration with the European Association for Cancer Research (EACR), ESMO brings cancer researchers and doctors together to exchange and share ideas. This partnership offers the opportunity to improve the life of cancer patients.

The Challenge

ACS built 13 temporary rooms, three of which had an overflow technology. In addition, there were 3 permanent halls fully equipped with AV. ACS also facilitated a complete press area and members lounge.

ESMO 2014 Feria de Madrid

ACS and ESMO (European Society for Medical Oncology) worked together to present ESMO 2014 (26th – 30th September) which attracted close to 20,000 delegates. ACS constructed 7 temporary rooms, 3 overflow rooms, interactive voting for 1500 pax and integrated AV. ACS also constructed the plenary hall for ESMO 2014 with a capacity for 4,250 pax.
